Additional Rules

• • New players to the Singles league (overall) will be assessed by the committee against their Thursday league level/ performance (or equivalent) and either placed in Division 1 or 2 or 3 depending on numbers. No new players will automatically qualify for the Premier Division.
• • We will endeavour to maintain 3 seasons per year to allow optimum opportunity for movement between divisions.
• •Between seasons during the registration period, for every drop out (player choosing not to play the next season) from any league, we will allow the next non-automatically promoted player to replace them. For example: if a player drops out of the Premier Division, the 3rd placed player in Division 1 will be promoted without the need to play a play-off. The player finishing 3rd bottom in the Premier Division will retain their place. This principle will continue with the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc.
• • A trophy will be awarded to the winner of each Division and the Premier division winner will get their name on the shield.
• • Prize money will be retained for the knockout and how it is split will be determined by the committee.
• • The summer season will be managed through the newly formed WhatsApp community, with players assigned to their relevant league. Committee updates will be posted to the announcements chat. A separate banter chat will be created to keep noise to a minimum for those keen to focus on the pool. The committee reserve the right to eject any player from the league (losing their deposit) who jeopardises the integrity of the league through use of inappropriate language including hate speech, bullying, harassment or discrimination of any kind.
